I've always been driven by one thing: helping people.
Sometimes that has meant developing a leader, solving a problem that's been holding a team back, or building a system that makes someone's job a little easier.
Today, it means helping business owners build stronger businesses, businesses that can grow, create opportunities, serve their customers, and make a meaningful impact on the people around them.
I believe when good people build good businesses, the impact goes far beyond the bottom line.
And that's what drives me.
My Story
My career actually started in psychology.
I studied pre-med and industrial-organizational psychology and began my career working in nonprofit mental health, supporting people in crisis, transitional housing, and adult foster care. It taught me how to listen, understand what's really happening beneath the surface, and never forget the person behind the problem.
From there, I took a completely different path.
I started as an insurance agent in the field and eventually worked my way into corporate leadership, where I spent more than 13 years building and leading across sales, operations, and technology. I worked alongside CEOs, presidents, and senior leaders, led large-scale initiatives, implemented technology that changed how organizations operated, and helped turn complex business problems into something people could execute. I loved the work. I was good at it.
Eventually, I realized I wanted something different, something more. I wanted to be closer to the impact. Closer to the people making the decisions, doing the work, and building something they genuinely cared about.
And that's how SCHUMACHER & CO. came to existence.
Today, I take everything I've learned, from the field, the agency level, and the executive table and bring it to small business owners who are ready to grow, but need help figuring out what comes next and making it happen.

Most consultants are hired to solve a problem. I'm hired to help build a stronger business.
That means I'm not interested in delivering a presentation, checking a box, or handing you a list of recommendations and walking away.
